Welcome Rev. Richard Blauw

We welcome Rev. Richard Blauw to our pulpit.  Rev. Blauw was born and raised in Chicago, attended Trinity and Calvin College, and received his MA in history from Loyola Univ. in Chicago.  Prior to attending Calvin Seminary he worked as a caseworker, a consultant for NYSE brokerage firms, and a teacher in a ghetto school.  He has served 35 years in the pastorate in 4 congregations: Feeman, South Dakota; Zutphen, Michigan; First Chino, California; and First South Holland, Illinois.  For the last 13 years he has been involved in teaching at Reformed Seminary in Donetsk, Ukraine.  His wife Joyce taught special education courses at Northern Illinois University.  They have 4 married children and 18 grandchildren.  Rev. Blauw and his wife currently live in St. John, Indiana.

Instruction of God’s truths is provided through worship services, church school, Bible study groups, and youth ministries — all in a trusting, accepting atmosphere of love. The ultimate goal of all church ministries is to lead children and adults into a growing personal relationship with Jesus.
